Do you know how to have fun?

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how much I love to work.

If I'm honest, this partly stems from past struggles with knowing what to do when I wasn't working, like figuring out how to have fun.

Let's face it. When you're busy running a business and a household, you're surrounded by work, and switching off can be challenging.

Many of us reach a stage in our lives when we forget how to have fun. We've fallen out of the habit of making time for fun.

Presumably, you're visiting my website because you're interested in getting more done, so here's an evidence-based reason to have more fun...

Fun provides a mental and emotional reset. It helps reduce stress hormones, increases dopamine levels (which enhance motivation and focus), and prevents burnout.

When you regularly relax and enjoy yourself, you return to work with renewed energy, improved creativity, and a clearer perspective.

Balancing work with fun promotes long-term well-being, making staying productive easier.

I've been experimenting lately. I started breaking up my day to do fun things in the middle and not just at the day's end.

My experience so far? I feel happier going back to work after lunch. I've had more energy when I sit down to work. And the work feels easier...
